A team of researchers from the City University of Hong Kong, including PhD student Haibo Hu and professors Nan Guan and Chun Jason Xue, in collaboration with the University of Victoria, Hon Hai Research Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, has secured first place in the 2024 Waymo Open Dataset Sim Agents Challenge. The team, also comprising Zikang Zhou, Xinhong Chen, Jianping Wang, Kui Wu, Yung-Hui Li, and Yu-Kai Huang, showcased exceptional innovation in developing advanced simulation agents for autonomous driving.
